WEB & GRAPHICS
Supporting Role (Under Promotions & Media)
Almonte Celtfest is looking for a new web manager and graphic designer! If you are pro, just dabble, or want to try your hand at the world of web and digital design – Celtfest has a spot for you! Manage our website on your own or work with other web professionals to keep the site updated and relevant. Design promotional items like business cards, posters, social media images and posters all while building your personal portfolio and gaining experience in a variety of areas.
This position requires year-round involvement.
It can exist as a sub-committee position under our Promotions Director.
*Note that this is a Volunteer Position and we meet as a planning committee on a monthly basis.
** Approx. 1-2 Hours per Week

 
LITTLE CELTS
Supporting Role (Under Under Site Coordinator)
Are you great with children and love to have fun? Little Celts might be the place for you! Organize activities, entertainment, and vendors that cater to Celfest’s younger festival-goers and add a playful and unique element of fun to this long-running event.
This position is pretty low-key and not necessarily requiring year-round involvement. It can exist as a member of the Board of Directors for the entire festival or rather as a sub-committee position under our Site and Vendor Coordinator.
* Note that this is a Volunteer Position and we meet as a planning committee on a monthly basis.
** Approx. 1-2 Hours per Week

 
SITE & VENDORS
Board Role
Almonte Celtfest is looking for a new team member to manage our incredible food and merchant vendors! If you might be interested in a position that is responsible for contacting old vendors, seeking new ones, sending out and receiving contracts and working with our site Manager to place them appropriately for the festival – we would be so glad to have you!
This position is pretty low-key and not necessarily requiring year-round involvement. It can exist as a member of the Board of Directors for the entire festival or rather as a sub-committee position under our Site Coordinator.
*Note that this is a Volunteer Position and we meet as a planning committee on a monthly basis.
** Approx. 1-2 Hours per Week

 
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Board Role
Responsible for coordinating and managing all return and new volunteers. Communicating with return volunteers, seeking and sending callouts for new volunteers, and managing the volunteer schedule at special events and the festival itself. Coordinating and managing volunteer orientation and volunteer appreciation events and initiatives.
*Note that this is a Volunteer Position and we meet as a planning committee on a monthly basis, due to Covid-19 we have been meeting virtually and will continue to do so until we all agree that we are comfortable to meet in person in a way that is safe for each member.
** Approx. 1-2 Hours per Week

 
BUSKER COORDINATOR
Support Role (Under Artistic Director)
Are you interested in getting into the world of performer booking, scheduling and management? Why not try your hand at being our Busker Coordinator for the 2022 Festival? The Mill Street Buskers are a huge part of Almonte Celtfest and they draw attention from locals, visitors and tourists while giving a young or emerging musician a chance to shine.
This position is pretty low-key and not necessarily requiring year-round involvement. It can exist as a member of the Board of Directors for the entire festival or rather as a sub-committee position under our Artistic Director.
* Note that this is a Volunteer Position and we meet as a planning committee on a monthly basis.
** Approx. 1-2 Hours per Week

 
DIRECTOR OF PROMOTIONS & MEDIA
Board Role
Almonte Celtfest is looking for our next Director of Promotions! If you have experience or are interested in gaining some in the world of print, digital and TV/Radio media – why not join the team for the 2022 Festival! If you enjoy or want to learn more about writing articles, are comfortable doing interviews (TV & Radio), can coordinate web updates with our web hosts, have or would like to gain connections in the media world, can correspond with a variety of media outlets and forms via phone/email etc. then this could be the opportunity that you are looking for and we would love to have you!
You will work alongside our Social Media manager & assistant to use and explore the promotional reach of our various social channels.
This position requires year-round involvement. It exists as member of the Board of Directors for the festival.
*Note that this is a Volunteer Position and we meet as a planning committee on a monthly basis.
** Approx. 2-3 Hours per Week

 
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Support Role (Under Promotions)
Almonte Celtfest is looking for a new social media manager! If you have experience with social media and either have some experience with managing businesses accounts or would like to learn or gain more experience on the topic – we would love to have you! You will work with our team to create and manage content on several social platforms and work with our promotions director to create a creative and engaging digital environment. If you have experience to bring to the table, awesome! But if you don’t and would love the chance to learn about managing professional socials, several members of our team has years of experience and would happy to share.
This position is hands-on and requires year-round involvement.
It can exist as a member of the Board of Directors for the entire festival or rather as a sub-committee position under our Promotions Director.

** Approx. 1-2 Hours per Week

 
DIRECTOR OF SPONSORSHIP & FUNDRAISING
Board Role
Almonte Celtfest is run by volunteers and relies on the involvement and support of local businesses and people to bring the level of quality entertainment and the incredible community spirit that it’s known for to our little town. This position is key to the 25 previous successful years of the festival and the 26th edition is looking forward to a fabulous year with all of our partners and supporters.
If you have or would like to gain experience connecting with local businesses to discuss sponsorship and advertising opportunities, possible partnerships, fundraising and special event, cross-promotions, general community networking and support – the Celtfest team and past sponsors would love to have you on board! A large part of this position is maintaining existing partnerships and business relationships while seeking out new opportunities for community development and festival support. You must comfortable making phone calls, talking with local business owners in person, discussing ideas and potential collaborative efforts throughout the year.
Responsible for coordinating and executing (along with the rest of the board) any special events or projects with the goal of raising funds for the festival’s programming in July.
This position requires year-round involvement. It exists as a member of the Board of Directors for the Festival.

** Approx. 4-5 Hours per Week
